Leader: In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
Invocation
[While in the presence of Our Lord, the following can be used]
Let us adore our Lord Jesus Christ, truly present here in the Most Blessed Sacrament of the Altar. (Brief pause)
We come before Thee, O Lord, with hearts full of gratitude and love, united with the Immaculate Heart of Thy Mother.
Let us offer this Rosary to Thee, O Jesus:
[Otherwise]
Let us call to mind the presence of Almighty God, who is here among us, who sees us, and who hears our prayers. (Brief pause)
Let us offer this Rosary for the greater glory of God, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary:
for the deliverance of our families
for the conversation and protection of our nation
and for our personal intentions, especially those in most need of thy mercy. (pause for silent personal intentions)
Let us pray that through these mysteries, we may draw closer to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Immaculate Heart of Mary, and that all our prayers may rise before Thee as incense in Thy sight. (brief pause).
Now, in faith, let us profess what we believe:
Apostles Creed
I believe in God
the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.
I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.
Amen.
1 The Resurrection:
Jn 20:1-18
Meditating on the mystery of the Resurrection, we remember that the women and disciples found the tomb empty. Angels appeared to them and said, "'Why seek you the living with the dead? He is not here, but is risen. Remember how he spoke unto you….' And they remembered his words" (Lk. 24:5-8). Christ rose triumphant from the dead, destroying sin and death. Through this mystery and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, let us pray for the virtue of faith, that we may believe firmly in Christ's victory and live as children of the Resurrection.
2 The Ascension:
Acts 1:6-11
Meditating on the mystery of the Ascension, we remember how Jesus returned to the Father's right hand and has prepared a place in Heaven for us. "This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will come in the same way as you saw him go into heaven." Through this mystery and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, let us pray for the virtue of hope, that we may long for our heavenly homeland and set our hearts on things above during our pilgrimage here on earth.
3 The Descent of the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:1-4
Meditating on the mystery of Pentecost, we remember how the Holy Spirit descended upon Mary and the Apostles. "And suddenly a sound came from heaven like the rush of a mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared to them tongues as of fire, distributed and resting on each one of them. And they were all filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance." Through this mystery and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, let us pray for zeal for souls so that our lives may become bold proclamations of the Gospel in word and in deed.
4 The Assumption
"And a great sign appeared in heaven: A woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars" Rev 12:1
Meditating on the mystery of the Assumption, we remember Our Lady was taken body and soul into heavenly glory. Through this mystery and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, let us pray for the virtue of purity, that we may strive to rightly order our disordered desires rooted in Original Sin and live holy lives, desiring the incorruptible crown (1 Cor 9:25) prepared for each of us.
5 The Coronation
Meditating on the mystery of the Coronation of Our Lady, we remember how Mary, Queen of Heaven and Earth, intercedes for us as Mother and Advocate before her Son.
"…And the king rose to meet her, and bowed down to her; then he sat on his throne, and had a seat brought for the king's mother; and she sat on his right. Then she said: I have one small request to make of you; do not refuse me. And the king said to her: Make your request, my mother; for I will not refuse you." 1 Kings 2:19-20
Through this mystery and the intercession of Our Blessed Mother, let us pray for the virtue of filial piety and greater devotion to Our Lady so that we may entrust ourselves to her care and more surely follow Christ through her.
Salve Regina
Hail, Holy Queen, Mother of Mercy,
our life, our sweetness and our hope.
To thee do we cry,
poor banished children of Eve.
To thee do we send up our sighs,
mourning and weeping in this valley of tears.
Turn then, most gracious advocate,
thine eyes of mercy toward us,
and after this our exile
show unto us the blessed fruit of thy womb, Jesus.
O clement, O loving,
O sweet Virgin Mary.
Pray for us, O Holy Mother of God.
That we may be made worthy of the promises of Christ.
Let us pray,
O God, whose only begotten Son, by His life, death, and resurrection, has purchased for us the rewards of eternal salvation. Grant, we beseech Thee, that while meditating on these mysteries of the most holy Rosary of the Blessed Virgin Mary, that we may both imitate what they contain and obtain what they promise, through Christ our Lord. Amen.
Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, have mercy on us.
Immaculate Heart of Mary, pray for us.
In the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.
Amen.
